Hospice & Palliative Care Team
 Sanford Palliative Care and Hospice provide continuity of care for individuals and their families who are dealing with a life-limiting illness. Palliative care works with patients during the early stages of the illness, while Hospice works with patients in the latter stages of their illness. Both palliative care and hospice focus on quality of life, with the goal of maintaining the patient’s best physical and emotional well-being. 90 percent of all Hospice care occurs in the home. However, Sanford's Hospice has two residential hospice cottages for clients with special needs.
