This class focuses on labor support techniques, your birthing options and the challenges of labor. We recommend you take this session between your 32nd and 36th weeks of pregnancy.
This class will cover early parenting skills, safety, bathing, diapering, adapting to change; all things you will need to know to care for your newborn. This class is intended for first time parents. Classes are three times a month, usually an evening class from 7-9 p.m. and occasionally a Saturday afternoon from 12:30- 2:30 p.m. Classes are subject to availability.

This two-day certification course is offered to nurses preferably with six month clinical nursing experience and/or experience in assessment and stabilization of emergency/trauma patients.

A certified adult/child and infant CPR class for city providers only.
This 1 1/2 hour class is designed for "brothers and sisters to be," ages 3 to 7 years to aid in adjusting to the addition of a new baby in the family. The class includes: characteristics and actions of a newborn, feeding the new baby, care of a newborn using demonstrations, doll play and a tour of the Family Birth Center. One or both parents should accompany the child to class. Classes are subject to availability.
