This free walk-in health maintenance clinic for individuals 55 plus is conducted by a Certified Geriatric Nurse, in collaboration with Advance Practice Nurses, your local physician and other health care providers. This program offers driving evaluation and skills training or retraining to provide older adults and those with disabilities the opportunity for independence through driving. It is also valuable for family members, physicians and other professionals to help determine an individual's ability to drive by providing a measurable and objective evaluation.

The Parkinson's Support Group provides an opportunity to share concerns, gather information about new developments and treatments, and socialization opportunities. The support group is open to anyone, regardless of hospital or clinic affiliation. There is no cost to attend. Meetings are held the third Wednesday of most months at 1 pm (except August and December) at Sanford Wellness Center which is located at 4201 South Oxbow, Sioux Falls, Classrooms A and B. AWAKE (Alert Well and Keeping Energetic) is a support group for patients and their families, dealing with sleep apnea. CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) information and tips are shared. CPAP is ordered by the physician, after a sleep study, as a treatment for obstructive sleep apnea and needs to be worn every night. The support group meets in Meeting room A on the lower level of the Sanford USD Medical Center lobby on the fourth Tuesday of every other month (Jan, Mar, May, etc.) at 7:00 pm.
